Commercial read The route changes with the commodity. Brazil does not export every commodity through the same corridor. Origin, product, terminal and shipment window form part of the physical execution question.

More cane does not mean more sugar.
Fact Conab estimates 705.2 Mt of cane, 42.89 Mt of sugar and 29.98 bn L of cane ethanol for 2026/27. Context More sugarcane feedstock does not automatically become more sugar. Conab simultaneously projects higher cane production, lower sugar production and higher cane-based ethanol production. The domestic ethanol environment is also being supported by the increase in Brazil's mandatory gasoline blend from E30 to E32.
Sugar 42.89 Mt Cane ethanol 29.98 bn L
Commercial read Feedstock availability is only the first layer. Cane quality and the industrial allocation between sugar and ethanol help determine how much of the crop ultimately becomes sugar.
Source / limit Sugar production is not equivalent to exportable sugar availability. Domestic consumption, inventories, product specifications and existing commercial commitments may also matter.Conab · 2nd Sugarcane Crop Survey 2026/27 · 20 Aug 2026 67.6M BAGS
A record crop can hide two different markets.
Fact Brazilian coffee production is estimated at 67.6M bags in 2026, +19.6% versus 2025 and the largest crop in Conab's historical series. 99% of the producing area was harvested at the time of the September survey. Context Arabica reflects a positive biennial cycle, larger producing area, higher productivity and generally more favorable climatic conditions. Conilon reflects lower national productivity, with weaker performance particularly in Espírito Santo, where irregular flowering affected output.
Arabica 48.2M bags · +34.8% Conilon 19.4M bags · -6.6%
Commercial read The national total is not the whole market. Aggregate production does not describe availability by species, origin, grade or commercial requirement.
Source / limit A record crop does not imply lower prices, record exports or homogeneous commercial availability.Conab · 3rd Coffee Crop Survey 2026 · 24 Sep 2026 Research Calendar Upcoming release
